What happens to your PDF

A PDF stores how each page looks, not how the book is built. Reading a book out of it works well for normal single-column text. It works badly for two columns, side boxes, tables and complex design: those can come back in the wrong order or with the layout lost. Your free sample comes from your own PDF, so you can see the result before you pay.

Scanned books are covered. If the first read finds little or no text — which happens with scans and with Arabic or Chinese — we read the file again with a second tool and keep the better result.

A PDF that holds only images, with no text at all, cannot be translated. We find that at upload and tell you. We do not run OCR, and we will not sell you a book we cannot read.

How the translation is checked We build a translator's brief from your whole book first — names, terms, tone, typography — and you review and edit it before anything is translated. The brief governs every chapter; each passage is then independently re-read against your original and re-translated wherever that check flags something, and the finished book gets one whole-book read for continuity. Every change becomes your quality report. How it works.
What it costs From $6.99 for a short book; a typical 80,000-word novel is about $12.99 on Standard. The price is computed from your actual file and shown before you pay, with the sample. Prices by book size.
Your file, and your rights Never used for AI training, never published or shared, deleted after 30 days by a storage lifecycle policy. You keep every right you had in the book and in the translation. Terms.
Do I get a PDF back? You get an epub, and a PDF conversion of it on the download page. It will not be a replica of your original layout — the text is reflowed into a clean book.
